A Seattle-based policy and advocacy nonprofit dedicated to bringing Washingtonians more and better transportation choices seeks a temporary Operations Manager to lead the internal operations of their organization. The Operations Manager will work closely with the organization’s leadership team to develop and run internal policies, financial protocols, and office management. Tasks range from administrative tasks such as scheduling, filing, and ordering materials to organizational operations work including income and expense budgeting, supporting hiring and onboarding new staff, and developing HR protocols. If you are passionate about cultivating an adaptive people-centered culture grounded in advancing racial equity and social justice along with strong employee performance and engagement, you love a fast paced environment, and you have excellent time management skills and pride yourself on meeting deadlines, this could be the job you’re looking for! This position can be remote, too, as long as you’re willing to commit to come to the downtown Seattle office once a week. The Operations Manager might be a fit for you if you have:

  • 3+ years of experience as a nonprofit Operations Manager
  • A Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Strong organizational and planning skills and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to racial and gender equity, and understanding the role inequities play in our society; experience leading diversity, equity, and inclusion work in an organization or a team a plus
  • Familiarity with nonprofit financial work (budgets, development, etc.)
  • A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office
  • Knowledge of WordPress, Campaign Monitor, Little Green Light, and/or Google Drive (in a perfect world, but not required)
  • Familiarity with or an interest in transportation policy or related issues
  • Experience living without a car, using transit as a primary mode of transportation or transit dependent
