Have you ever considered being a hotel Front Desk Clerk? As a Front Desk Clerk at this local Inn, you’ll get to assist guests by checking them in to the hotel, registering them and assigning them to their rooms, and providing information about local entertainment, food, shopping, business, and travel. You’ll answer phones and make reservations, answering questions about local activities and events and facilitate payments, and otherwise satisfy the needs of the guests. Besides a positive and friendly attitude, you’ll need to be organized, punctual and dependable and absolutely LOVE interruptions! Perks include health, dental and vision benefits, and no need to worry about what to wear everyday, either! You’ll simply wear black pants and a black shirt!  And if you live in Tacoma and need to cross the bridge, the hotel will pick up your monthly toll expenses!

The Front Desk Clerk might be a fit for you if you have:

  • Minimum of 1 year hotel related experience, preferably as a front desk agent, concierge or night auditor
  • A professional, friendly demeanor
  • A helper attitude and a love for making others feel happy
  • Basic computer skills including accurate keyboarding/data entry
  • Excellent phone etiquette, and clear spoken and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of all things Gig Harbor… or would love to learn super quickly!
  • A willingness to work weekends and holidays, as needed
  • Some cashiering experience (cash handling, checks, credit cards, debit, etc.)
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
