DURATION: 3 month contract, starting July 6th.

We need eight experienced Marine Electricians with current Red Badge Secret Clearance (or from within the past two years)!

Use your highly valued skills for a great three month assignment working with a local contractor at PSNS!

You MUST have experience as a Marine Electrician to perform these jobs. Sorry, residential and/or commercial electricians need not apply.

Production Workers

A large Gig Harbor manufacturer is seeking workers to fill full-time, entry-level production jobs (packagers, weighers and blenders) for all three shifts at their local facility!

To qualify, you must have:

Some production and/or manufacturing experience
The ability to perform a physical job that requires you to lift 50 pounds frequently (some jobs require lifting of up to 100 pounds)
Strong math skills (candidates must pass a math test to be considered)
The ability to pass a criminal background check & drug test
Good communication skills, including the ability to follow complex written instructions
A strong work ethic & great attendance

CNC Set-Up

We need someone who has 2+ years experience with the set-up of mill and lathe CNC machines!

Responsibilities include:

Inspecting & measuring machined workpieces to verify they meet specifications
Performing detailed program editing (speeds, feeds & tooling offsets)
Replacing worn machine cutting tools
Performing break-down & set-up of complex machine tools
Coordinating machine order of operations & work schedules with supervisor
Maintaining all machine oil supplies daily
Performing second operation duties (deburring & cleaning machined parts)
Training operators & entry level operators in correct methods of machine tear-down & set-up

You must have 2+ years of experience setting up mill and lathe CNC machines to be considered for this job!

To qualify, you must be able to:

Read & understand blueprints
Use CAD (or have begun current training in CAD)
Add, subtract, multiply & divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions & decimals
Calculate angles & functions of angles
Calculate machine tool speeds & feeds using machine handbook or manufacturer’s recommendations
Stand frequently & lift up to 50 pounds

CNC Machine Operator

A large company is seeking a reliable and capable candidate to perform a variety of machine related duties. This position includes the tending of one or more machines, inspecting and measuring machined work-pieces, performing minor machine settings, replacing worn machine cutting tools, and other related duties. Support and service to customers will also be required, as well as the promotion of plant safety and product and service quality.

This position involves the performance of basic math functions, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
